Consulate Review: United Arab Emirates Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : January 11, 2021 Embassy Review : My husband's interview was today and he was approved. He said it was straightforward, they asked for his civil papers originals (birth certificate, marriage certificate, 2 police certificates - one from UAE and one from Jordan) They asked how we met, who is the joint sponsor. He was in and out in less than 2 hours. He arrived early at 7:20am and he was third in line. At 8am he went in and I got a call from him at 9:22am. Additional questions he remembers: Did you go to the US? When was your date of marriage? Our marriage is 6 Feb 2018 , since it near 2 years the officer said they would 'upgrade' his visa which I think means CR-1 to IR-1. Rating : Very Good
