Event Description

Embassy Review : my husband's interview was on May 4, 2009. I accompanied my husband for his IR1. The line was fairly quick. There was no point in getting to the embassy early because IR1 people were allowed to start entering the building around 9:15am and everyone's appt is at 10am. We got there arnd 9:30am and inside at 10am. first officer just collected my husband's ppst and 2 photos and she only asked me where I was living (I live in Abu dhabi w/husband). Then 1/2hr later we were called again this time it was for the interview. I decided to go with my husband to the window. The lady officer was very nice. She didn't ask my husband(beneficiary) any questions, she only asked me when we would plan on moving to the states. I just told her since UAE has contracts my husband 1st needs to take care of that than I would say abt 2-3months. she was happy to hear that and then she said everything is good your visa has been granted and approved. All you need to do is look for your case # online & one that shows up you can send anyone w/ur husband's pspt and the blue paper to paste the visa on pspt. The interviewing officer was very very nice, b4 leaving the window she was complimenting me about how cute my son looked and about her kids as well.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
