Event Description

Embassy Review : Had our interviews this morning, myself and my 6 year old son.

We stayed over in London the night before (travel lodge just round the corner, so we could walk to the embassy) appointment was for 8.30 and we got there about 8.10 and we went straight in. Felt like I knew exactly were I was going and what I was doing after reading all the reviews on here.

We were the only ones there, and we were in the building for about an hour in total.

First officer, just took my fingerprints (not my sons as he’s too young for them to be needed) and I handed over all civil documents! But only mine and my sons... they didn’t need originals of my husbands divorce documents! Also they only wanted one photo and no photo copies of anything were needed! (Unlike what it says on their website)

Second officer asked how we met, what he did for a job, and if we had medical insurance. I said I would get travel insurance and sort out medical when we were there. This was fine! He said, everything looks ok and that we should expect our passports back in 7 to 10 days. Done!

I found everyone there to be really nice and helpful.

Hello Congrats on the scheduled Interview. Did you expedite at NVC or submit an emergency appointment at embassy? Or have they started all CR1/IR1 interviews at London? Thanks much. It will help us all.

We expedited at the NVC before being DQ. I believe they started all normal interviews last week anyway. We went for our Interview today (my 6 year old) and we were the only ones in there the whole time. And we were approved!!! Just need to wait for our passports to come back now!!! 🥳

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
