I have a similar case to yours. I’m from Illinois and married my husband who is from Pakistan in February 2020. We’ve been dq since February 2021. Any other couples you know who filed before you and got an interview? I’m just trying to get some sort of timeline when he’ll get his interview

Hi. May I ask why did the interview took so long? I mean I just got approved a few days ago, how long do you think I should wait for my interview?
Tariq&Farzeen on 2022-08-31 said:
Hi Bigmasoud,
The interview for the US Embassy in Pakistan have been elongated because of fall of Afghanistan. I believe you are Persian, so I imagine that process and longevity would be substanially different in Iran unless you're applying from Pakistan.

Hi! I had a quick question - when/how long did it take to say "in transit" and does in transit mean that you get the interview letter already or you'll be getting it soon?
Tariq&Farzeen on 2022-09-08 said:
Hi AMK2021, I am not exactly what sure what you mean by "in transit", I never saw that written on any official document we received.
Make sure you have your email addresses registered to your Case Number and Invoice ID on ceac.state.gov, and as soon as your interview has been scheduled, you will get an email direct from NVC which will let tell you the date of your interview.
We received our "Interview Letter" via E-Mail from NVC on June 16, 2022 (About 2.5 months before our actual interview).
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
