Had to join a group lawsuit to get the Dept of State to schedule our K-1 interview during covid. The decision to not allow K-1 interviews (while allowing other visa type interviews) during the covid travel ban was illegal and the legal process allowed us to finally schedule the consulate interview after a delay of 6 months. Then she had to go to Mexico for 15 nights before entering the USA also due to illegal application of travel ban. |

We were originally scheduled for an Interview on March 10, 2022 (nearly 1 year after our NOA1 date). However, USCIS called and cancelled on March 8, 2022. We then tried for over 1 year to get them to reschedule the interview. We had our Senator office try also. We finally got a new interview date on May 23, 2023. This is 26 months after our NOA1! And 20.5 months after our Biometrics appointment back in Sept 2021. And 14 months after they cancelled our first interview with 2 days notice. Its been a nightmare. We sit here now 3 years and 4 months (40 months) after sending our K-1 to USCIS in January 2020. I strongly recommend that no one use the K-1. Get married first and apply for a spouse visa/green card. |

The interview in Warsaw was very easy. We were there for only 90 minutes in total, only 10 minutes with the consular officer. (the rest of the time was waiting and providing documents at the window) |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
