We were late for the interview as i forgot i had chapstick and had to rejoin the line from the end. When we got inside, it was around 1020 for our 0900 appointment 😔. There was quite a lot of people still waiting for another i-130 or i-129f visa interview. you could overhear a lot of the questions being asked to the Visa applicants. My fiance and i were very much prepared however. We were called to a window where they collected our paperwork. Affidavit of support, birth certificate, no impediment, police record and he got his fingerprints taken.
We sat back down and were the last couple called back up, naturally since we were late i assume. We went to this really polite gentleman. He asked How we know each other
When we started dating
When did we make it official
What kind of job do you do
It was all pretty simple then he said we will get the visa in a week or two. And i asked if he'd like to see the folder i prepared and he said no reason to as he can see that we were well prepared and also when the petitioners attend the interview, it shows that the relationship is more valid. The interview itself lasted less than 5 minutes. When we were done at 1159, we were the only ones left
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
