Embassy Review : The interview seemed straight forward and they did review all the documents to see that everything was in order. She spoke to 3 people; one that did the documents check list, another who asked basic questions and third US rep that asked more questions and told her that he would approve her visa and that everything looked good.
Rating : Very Good

We were unfortunate to have gotten caught in the closure due to Corona Virus 19. We were given an interview date for March 25th that was cancelled on March 20th due to the closure. We are now waiting for the May 4th scheduled reopening and to get a new interview date. Of course we have until May 15 to do this according NOA 2.

I'm sorry to hear your interview date got canceled. I hope you hear soon about a rescheduled date, especially since now there are zero local cases of COVID in Taiwan. I've read that they should extended any upcoming expiration dates due to the shut downs, and I am hoping that is the case in your situation as well. Best of luck!

Hi Cory, Really appreciate your kind words. We are staying optimistic and it helps to know that she is in Taiwan where they have managed the spread of the virus very well. We will make sure to keep updating as things change. Thank you!

So Happy to see any K1 approved. Did you expedite?
FantasicJourney on 2020-08-10 said:
We had our K1 approved before the embassy shut down. We also had an interview scheduled that took 5 months to get rescheduled. That is what just occurred. I appreciate your feedback as well as your handle Dougefresh56.

I'm so happy for you both! This is really the best news I have heard in a long time. I'm sorry for the long delay... but I'm happy it seems like that got you in quick after they opened up for interviews (which I wasn't even aware of)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
