Early morning arrival during the pandemic. The airport was quiet and I did not have to wait. I had to take my mask off briefly for a photograph. The officer was professional, friendly and clear. I was asked what my fiancé did for a living, where we would be living, our marriage plans etc. Nice, quick and easy process. |

Getting there is exactly as everyone has described in recent reviews. Building renovations make it a bit harder to find your way to the right elevator but it isn't hard to find someone who can help you get there.
I placed all my documents into a clear, plastic, document folder which I took in with me. There were five people in front of me so by the time I was called for my interview, I had no questions for the interviewing officer because I had already heard the answers to the questions I would have asked. In respect of the interview itself, I was asked how we met, where we will live, what my fiancé does for a living and how we have kept in touch during the pandemic etc. The interviewing officer was kindly, clear, professional and easy to talk to. I was approved pending receipt of my medical report which I had had done the day prior and received my visa in the mail just over a week later. |

Timeline Comments: 2Hi!
Congratulations on your NOA2! Almost there :D
I've got a question, do you need any original documents for the K1 visa interview at Sydney?
Thank you :) I haven't received my P3 yet so I'm just getting everything ready before it arrives based off what I've read here and on these pages:
Medical: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/SYD-Sydney.html
Required documents for interview: https://au.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/
They need to see original documents and so it's something we have to bring plus copies of those original documents. I assume they will keep the copies, I don't know
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
