Embassy Review : My interview was scheduled for 10.45am this morning. I arrived 1 hour early.

Outside, the guards checked my bag, asked me if I had a phone and made me turn it off, then the first check point asked me for my passport, my criminal records and my DS-160. He put a sticker on the back of my passport' checked the papers and gave me all back telling me to give them to his colleagues inside.

Then I went through the second checkpoint where they checked my bags and asked me for my phone, keys and lipsticks/makeup. They put everything in a little plastic bag with a number on it and gave me a sort of pass with the same number to pick my stuff up on my way out.

Then I really entered the embassy, went straight ahead following the "Visa" sign, they guided me to the next booth available, where they asked me for my address and phone number, as well as the papers + passport I already had in hands, my birth certificate, my divorce decree and my fiancé's, the confirmation email with the address you want your visa send to, the sealed envelope with the medical exam and my 2 passport pictures. She also took my fingerprints, and that was it. Then she told me to go to the waiting room downstairs. I waited til they called my name at 11am, and went to the booth with the officer. He asked me if I wanted to do the interview in French or in English and I told him I didn't mind, wish he was pretty grateful about, and then proceeded. He made me raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth' and then asked me question such as if I have ever been to the US?, with ESTA?, if I ever overdid my stay?, where we met?, ... Then another ( senior I assume) officer came behind him, and asked me again where and how we met, and then they both told me that it was approved followed by a "welcome to the United States!"
I proceeded to leave and pick up my stuff when a staff member asked me to come back (which kinda freaked me out haha) but it was just that my officer forgot to check once again my fingerprints. And then I was done !
It was a very smooth process and everyone was extremely friendly
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
