Comments : Interview went as such: arrived at embassy at 4:45 am...only one or two people waiting in line. By 5 30 am it was jammed packed. By 6 am they started filing people into lines and putting people into a queue. All CR1 AND IR1 visa applicants were put into one side of the room and all non immigrant visas on another side. Biometrics were done first and then everyone given numbers amd paperwork was asked to be handed over like (marriage certificate, birth, police, all the original copies) then there was some waiting..

By about 7, 7 30 am they started calling random numbers that people were assigned.

Husband was called up around 9 something Am.
He was given the oath and the questions started
Who filed for you?
How did you guys meet?
When did you guys first start talking?
When did you get married?
Can I see your wedding pictures?
Who are these people in the wedding pictures?
Why weren't your parents in the wedding pictures?
Do you have any children?

Husband said before he could even finish stating the last question the CO was handing him the white slip of paper and stated that he had everything he needed to approve his visa and he would receive it within 10 buisness days. They kept his passport and CO told him how to pay his green card fee ect
THAT WAS IT!!

Visa was issued on February 11th after short time of administrative processing. Recieved email it was ready to pick up february 12th, Picked up visa today on the 13th of february

Comments : I got to fly home with hubby from Nigeria. Because we were together the Immigration officials allowed us to go through customs together. There were TONS of people at customs but we got through everything within 45 min. No questions..just went over his visa and passport asked to see his ex ray that was on CD and told us everything else was in the system. VERY GOOD

Thank you all. I am praying we have made the cut in enough time to miss this new ban that goes into effect February 22nd. I pray God shines favor on us and Nigeria...that in some way this ban will not last long. In Jesus Name

We are aproved!!!!! I will update details later...but it was pretty quick and simple not many questions. Gave my husband white slip said they had all they needed and to pick up his visa within two weeks. They kept his passport. THANK YOU LORD. it is a set and sad day as my husband kept seeing many families being denied ect. For IR1 visas....we are so thankful but mindful of those around us who were denied and those who's interview is after the ban. We are praying for all those.

Congratulations on your approval!! I'm very glad it went well especially because of the travel ban, it had me worried
CaylinObinna on 2020-02-10 said:
Thank you all! I was there with my husband and you could feel the tension with everyone. Praying the ban gets lifted soon. All I can say is to just be extremely prepared from what it looks like if you dint have the right official documentation with you they will and can stall your process or deny it. Better to be overly prepared than under prepared.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
