Embassy Review : My fiancé’s interview was at 9:30am. He arrived at 9am and his interview began shortly after 9:30. The interviewer asked him several questions: 1) Where does your fiancée work, 2) Does she have kids? How old? 3) Was your fiancée married before? How long? 4) Where does your fiancé live? The interviewer then went through all of our pictures and asked a few questions about them. She was super nice and even complimented our pictures and how great of a job I did organizing the documents for the interview. Then she told my fiancé that we looked very much in love and gave the K-1 visa approval.
Rating : Very Good

Your case is moving quite fast! Have you been able to see the availability of interview dates for Ghana yet?

I’m hoping the process keeps moving along quickly. I don’t know where to find the availability of the interview dates for Ghana. But hoping to have my fiancé complete the DS-160 next week and pay the visa fee. Our case is supposed to leave the NVC next Tuesday Feb. 18th.

Hi, another question.. how were you notified when the NVC received your petition? Or did you end up calling to find out?
Jordana Chapman on 2020-02-18 said:
I called on the 11th day after my case was approved and got the NVC case number over the phone.

Hey! Hope all is well. Did you already receive your P3? If so did it come as an email when the consulate received your packet?
Jordana Chapman on 2020-02-25 said:
Hi there. Yes got the P3 yesterday and it came as an email.

My fiancé will pay the visa fee and complete the DS-160 and schedule the interview on Thursday so I’ll let you know date once we receive it. Thanks for your support!

Hi jordana, were you able to get your interview scheduled easily? If so was there a decent amount of slots available?

Hi Jordana. Have you and your fiance received your packet recently??
Jordana Chapman on 2021-02-03 said:
Hello. As of now we are still waiting to get an interview date. Hoping they start scheduling interviews again soon since we’ve been waiting on interview date since March 2020.
blank avatar Meshells on 2021-02-04 said:
As I can see, you and your fiance have a consulate receive date of 2/20/20...two of the couples on here receive dates are February too and already had interview and approve so you're close. We are March so not long for my fiance and I as well.
Jordana Chapman on 2021-02-04 said:
Yes I have to agree with you that it shouldn’t be much longer. Just gotta hang in there a bit longer. I’m planning a trip to visit Ghana in March to celebrate my bday with my fiancé. Would be awesome if we knew something by then. I’ll be praying for you guys.
blank avatar Meshells on 2021-02-04 said:
Wow that would be great to celebrate there. Thanks for the prayers...I will be praying for you guys too!!

Hello. Have you received the embassy email notification yet?
Jordana Chapman on 2021-02-25 said:
Hi there! I haven’t received an email yet. How about you?
blank avatar Meshells on 2021-02-25 said:
Not yet. I was wondering if they were finished with cases that they received in February 2020 but I guess they haven’t.
blank avatar Meshells on 2021-03-05 said:
Hi. Do you know of any other K1 couple that has a February 2020 embassy receive date? Asking because it seems to be taking forever processing February cases.
blank avatar Lissweetaspie on 2021-08-13 said:
Congrats on the approval!!! Did they ask for the affidavit of support form I-864
blank avatar Kingfultech on 2021-08-23 said:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
