Event Description
Review Date : November 24, 2021
Embassy Review : We had our interview yesterday at the Chicago office. The officer swore us in and asked to see our IDs. The only other document we were asked for was our baby's birth certificate.

The officer asked my husband to confirm his details (birthday, address...etc.) and answer some of the yes/no questions from AOS application. The officer then asked me how my husband and I met. Once I answered the question, the officer told us we were approved.

My husband then gave his fingerprints and had a photo taken. We were told the card would arrive in the mail in about 2 weeks. The officer also explained that we would have to file ROC in 2 years.

From entering the building to exiting, the whole process took an hour. The interview itself  was maybe 10 minutes.

The officer told us on the spot that we were approved but didn't give us a stamp and our case has not yet updated online.
Harassment Level : Very Good

Why did it take so long between your interview and receiving your green card? Based on your timeline seems like almost 2 months?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
