Comments : Both of us were allowed to go through the US returning line since he was my beneficiary and traveling with me. I'm so glad I was able to travel during Covid to collect him! He had never been off the island or through any sort of immigration entry lines. Anyway, they directed us to step aside to be interviewed and took us to a waiting room. We waited for them to sort through our file and when they had questions, we answered them. Took about 45 minutes and then we were free to go!

Comments : So BIZARRE!
We received NOA "Receipt Notice", but not the receipt number so I can register it on my USCIS account.
It was a notification that they are extending the GC validity for 48 months and that they MAY request a biometric appointment, but ZERO other information as to WHY the process would be extended for so long. It also said that if he should "travel" that he would have to keep the NOA with him for his GC to be valid.
**Update: We finally received the actual NOA.

congratulations on finally getting that NOA2 approved. the NVC is a way faster process. i would advise to for you to start working on the i-134f from now. And have him start his request for police records, no impediment in a week or two. There is a huge supercharge to get those paperwork express.

Hi GinaCarterWebster... I am new to this site. Question my fiancée interview was canceled on March 13, 2020 at the embassy. How did you make a date and what email did you send your email ? Thanks.

Hello Kev&Kem!! Sorry to hear your March appt was canceled, but yes - some Embassies are finally processing K1s!! I'm not sure what embassy you're seeking information for?

She got an email one day before the interview because one of the employees were tested pot for covid. So weren’t now sure how to go about it. We’ve called the embassy and no real person has answered. We started this K1 August 2019 and got received the NOA 1 & 2 within fourth months. We filled out the Ds-160 in Jan 2020 medical in Feb and March appointment and of course it was canceled. We’re trying to figure out how will the embassy contact us.

Yes we’ve gone to both of the pages the green one and purple one and for some reason it’s not giving us an option to reschedule. It’s only showing our last interview date. One page is non immigrant visa and the other is immigrant visa.

You need to go to the immigrant page and choose "reschedule" . There may not be any dates available again - just keep trying as they release dates a few qt a time.

Thank you!!! We are Sooooo excited!! This has been one VERY LONG year!! We have to do one small thing - the police record wasn't printed when we went to collect it, but we had the receipt and will have it couriered over tomorrow. Not a big deal, as the interviewer shook his hand and wished him "Good Luck and enjoy America"!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
