Consulate Review: United Arab Emirates
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 18, 2020
Embassy Review : The interview experience was so easy. My fiancé said he was only interviewed for 5 minutes. The interviewer didn’t even want to see any of the proof of relationship that we prepared for it. He said “I can tell when a case is staged and this is clearly not.” The questions were:
1. where does she live? (The interviewer tried to trip him up and said oh she lives in California right?  because that’s what it says in my passport, but my fiancé corrected him)
2. how did you two meet?
3. What do you do for work?
4. have you ever met her parent?
5. Have you been to the US before?

They needed the medical exams, affidavit of support and all supporting documents, 2 passport pics, passport and copy, copy of fiancés birth certificate, copies of all police certificates, a print out of your email of interview date confirmation and email of proof of payment, and DS-160.
Rating : Good

Nope. No options to reschedule. A few days ago the embassy posted this on their website https://ae.usembassy.gov/update-on-visa-services/

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
