Hello, we recently had 2 valid emergencies so we requested an emergency appointment. It was approved and our case moved from the NVC (stuck there 5 months). Best of luck to you guys!

Did you file N-400 by paper? How long did it take you to get NOA1?
PKwan on 2025-01-12 said:
Yes, we filled it by paper and it took 2 weeks to get the NOA by mail. They did not notify us by text or email even though we asked to be notified that way. But after I called they fixed the communication and it showed online. Best of luck to you

Our appointment was 7:10AM on a Saturday and she was seen around 11 AM. The officer would not let me go even though I’m the petitioner and her husband. The officer didn’t look at much at the evidence since we already included it digitally in the submission, but we brought it all just in case since we heard stories where they want to see it. Good luck with everything and just be prepared for the worst so there’s no disappointment..that’s how we went about it because you never know what type of officer you’ll get.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
