You can apply for Pcc now
But Ds160can be done once case number is allotted.
Call Nvc and check if your email is with them, they will share the case number over an email
May i ask you wil do your pcc at which city, mine is in queue due to lot of entries.

I did it in mumbai , and they ask for appointment confirmation, k1 case number letter, plus some communication from consulate stating to go ahead for process, original passport n copies etc

They will find it out coordinating with consulate. Do it with logging in from account n floating query
My fiancé did it, he is the petitoner n then i got response on query from my email, they libked both
