Embassy Review : My fiancee got to the interview and she was denied because:

Her brother sent an invite for visitors last year and she was denied in June and we sent in the K-1 Petition a month after. They asked her if she was engaged then, then why is she going to visit her brother and not me. But she wanted to go because she is the God mother of his brothers baby and she had to go for the Christening.

The Councillor then went to ask another Councillor and came up and said she is ineligible at this moment. I dont even know if we can have a review or appeal because it said she is ineligible under 221(g)

hi, have you received any notice on your status yet?
AlbieBio on 2019-10-24 said:
I have not , I was thinking what might be going on because I see people getting notices for the NOA2 withing three months but I'm guessing it's by luck. But no I havent

Just a quick question, once we receive the Packet three , which i think i will get an email for. Does the embassy in Ghana choose the interview date for my Fiancee or does she just have to go to the GT bank and Pay the fee and i can put in the application on my end here in the states online. I just want to get a little Clarification on that please.

Did you end up getting your notice?? Well for the packet 3, I’m just hearing many different things. It seems that the Ghana embassy is really slow on getting that to the petitioner. They should email it to the petitioner but it seems that they don’t always do that or send it months later. Sometimes even after the interview. I’ve seen people schedule the interview before they get the packet 3. I ended up using a lawyer so he said that they’ll send the packet to him and me. The packet just has a welcome letter and tells you what to do in terms of medicals, passport pictures, and to schedule the interview. Your fiancé will fill out the DS-160 and then pay the fee then schedule the date.
AlbieBio on 2019-10-31 said:
Great, can u fill it out here online after she pays the fee in Ghana because she would have to go over to an internet Cafe to do it there and it would be easier here if I do it with her on the phone?
blank avatar Abamichelle on 2019-10-31 said:
Yeah you definitely can. I’ve filled one out before for a family member. It’s mainly her information and you’ll need her passport picture because you have to scan it in. Just make sure you use your email for everything and forward her all the stuff you get because the confirmation will be through an email. She will need to print all of that out and take it with her to the interview. You can’t book the interview until after you pay. Right now I’ve heard there’s barely any dates but I’m hoping they’re will be some soon.

@Abamichella i have not , it still says at NVC but based on my research of timelines and the fact that my Approval expires on the 28th, i thought it wise to just book the interview about 2 and half months away. thats why i booked the appointment
blank avatar Abamichelle on 2019-12-02 said:
Yeah if you’ve tracked your case and it still says at the NVC, then it will ship out next Tuesday as that’s their next day to ship cases to the embassies. What do you mean when you say your approval will expire on the 28th?
AlbieBio on 2019-12-02 said:
It state on the NOA2 that it expires on February 28th 2020. I just dont want to go through the back and forth of emailing them and so on
blank avatar Abamichelle on 2019-12-02 said:
Oh okay! Yeah that makes sense. You should have gotten your packet 3 by your interview date. I know of someone who got theirs in two weeks! Are there still interview dates for February? I’m planning on my fiancé to pay tomorrow.
AlbieBio on 2019-12-02 said:
I checked the entire day today and I figured I should wait till around night time, this was the only one available but u can keep checking.

Got it. Will do. Thanks!

You were right! I looked at night time and found just one appointment! Great advice!! Thanks.

You are very welcome.

Hello, congratulations on the approvals thus far. I am having trouble finding an interview date, can you please advise on how to get one? I made the payment and have made arrangements for all the required documents in the P3. Please advise.
blank avatar Abamichelle on 2020-01-13 said:
Unfortunately they’re all booked up smh. March opened up a couple of days ago and quickly got booked within 12 hours. I’d recommend to keep checking but not too often or else you’ll get locked out. As Albert said, checking at night is really helpful too.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
