Hi,
MY Beneficiary is also from Ethiopia, can you share what the next steps has been after NOA2 and any info when the embassy will open?
Much appreciated

Hello, after NOA 2 your file will be sent to NVC and at NVC they will assign your case a number and send it to US Embassy in Addis. And the Embassy didn’t say anything when will they reopen so far.

Hey, my first scheduled interview date was canceled and on December 24 the embassy emailed me with a new interview date for January 28... I think they are working on the cases that were scheduled before covid.

Congratulations on the approval. Can you share your embassy experience and the interview questions please.
Thank you

Thank you!! My appointment time was 1pm in the afternoon and there is a guy at the gate who checks paperwork work and after that they let me in and I waited for like an hour because the officers were at lunch..some of the questions after he made me swear I will tell the truth nothing but the truth
1. Where did you meet and follow up questions
2. How old is your fiance
3. Where did he went to school
4. Why do you want to marry him and follow up questions
5. What your plan for the wedding
That’s it basically it took me like 3 or 4 minutes for the interview and he said congrats you are approved!!

Thank you :) they asked and took it the 129 form...isn’t the form online? We filed it and file it to USCIS and then print it for the embassy as well

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
