Interview process seemed to go smoothly and quickly. Nothing was said, but a paper requesting more evidence was given to my wife. After calling we found out the visa is on AR due to document verification. Document verification was paid 1 month before interview. Contracted company DELBROS did not forward document verification information until 5 weeks and 4 days are being paid. We had to call DELBROS and ask when information was forwarded to Embassy to find it was never forwarded. The Manila Embassy did not forward documents for verification until the last week of February. Visa was delivered 1 day short of 10 weeks after interview. |

After being moved to another lane from lane 35 the POE went smoothly. The officer asked for the documents, for a finger print scan, and where she was headed? |

Embassy Review : |
The consulate officer (CO) seemed irritated that Meryll could not hear her well. The CO concentrated questions why Meryll had not married at an ealier age and why she chose to marry an American. After the interview, Meryll was put on AR because of mishandling of the document verification process. The document verification was paid and verified in Early January, but the Manila US Embassy did not request the documents to be verified until three weeks after the interview. The verification process took over 9 weeks after the interview to complete. |

Embassy Review : |
Meryll arrived at San Francisco Airport via PAL and a rude lady told her group to wait in lane 35. The officer at lane 35 was busy with an entire family on a CR1/CR2 visa, so a nicer man moved the group of filipinas to anotherlane. The only question Meryll was asked is where she was going. |

Embassy Review : |
After getting through security we arrived on the 2nd floor 35 minutes early. The 2nd floor had approximately 40 people in the waiting room. We waited over an hour for Meryll’s name to be called. The officer apologized for calling us late and was very nice. The officer swore us in and asked me, the sponsor, the first questions:
How did we meet?
When and where was our marriage?
If I met her parent’s and what was their names?
If Meryll has met my parents and siblings? To which Meryll supplied pictures.
When Meryll arrived in US?
About my income.
When was Meryll’s birth date?
Then Meryll was asked the questions off the list, plus my birth date, how we met, if she had met my parents, etc.
The immigration officer stated we sounded like a nice couple and said Meryll was approved.
P.S. We found parking 1 block south and 1.5 blocks west of the office between S. LaSalle and S. Financial PL.
Rated a 5 except for the wait. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
