Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 2, 2008
Embassy Review : 6:10 Arrive at the embassy, line 3 about 10 people in front of me.

6:40 We get in to the embassy towards section 40

7:00 A Lady ask us to arrange documents in a folder provided by them

7:40 Called to window 29 for papers review, everything ok ask to wait near windows 1 to 4

8:00 Called at window 8 for fingerprints

9:20 Interview: it lasted les than five minutes, three very simple questions, no evidence was requested. After the approval I ask if he could give back the W-2 papers and we was nice to make copies and give back the originals.

9:30 out of the embassy after paying the delivery fee.

The only thing that isn’t cool is that they do not keep the order in which people arrive to the embassy so It does not make any difference to arrive too early I was called before people who arrive earlier than me.

Also I believe I was lucky to have the interview on December 31, few people at the embassy and the guy was in a really good mood!!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
