Hello....were you guys notified by NVC by mail or email? I'm assuming you did nothing after you received your NOA2, just waited for NVC, yes? Thanks :)

Hi, I ended up just calling about 10 days after I got my NOA2. So no mail or email
Tracer6158 on 2020-02-27 said:
Ahh ok...didn't know that was possible...they sent you next steps, etc?
Lissweetaspie on 2020-02-27 said:
After they give you your case number and invoice number you go into crack.state.gov to check the status of it. It will show you when it’s being mailed to the embassy and you just wait till the embassy receives it. After they have it you can fill out and submit the ds-160 and schedule your interview depending on the embassy

No, not expedited.
AMA. L on 2021-08-10 said:
@Lissweetpie did your NOA2 expire if yes, did you have to call or write a letter for it to be extended? Thank you
Tracer6158 on 2021-08-10 said:
It did expire but then ignored that and just continued to keep my case active...it wasn't a problem at all.
Lissweetaspie on 2021-08-10 said:
No expedite, just went onto the website and there happened to be two appointment times available. I didn’t do anything with the expired NOA2. Hope this helps :)

Did you have an interview for green card? Did you try to expedite or get your congressperson involved?
SAB6 on 2022-10-31 said:
Did you have to submit any proof of marriage or redo your medical exam before it was approved for green card?
Lissweetaspie on 2022-11-01 said:
My husband did not have an interview for the i485 and we did not expedite just waited as normal since we got the EAD and travel parole. We did not have to submit any additional documents and are waiting on the approval letter which would probably tell him if a medical is needed. I will update once we receive it.

Are you from Illinois or Wisconsin area? Was Chicago your field office or just where you mailed your paperwork to originally?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
