Everyone was nice here. As soon as they saw my big manilla folder I was taken to another room where they went through everything. The whole process was done before the bag carousel had even started. Mind you, that took a looong time: get your act together Newark |

The interview itself was quick and painless. The consular officer literally asked me two questions - where we me? and why move to the US? - and it was over. I'd say 2-3 minutes in all. The aside, however, there are lengthy waits as you first queue to enter the building, wait to file your documents, wait for your interview, and then queue to file with sms. I'd say from start to finish I was there for 4hours. With only a 3 minute interview. But, hey: it's done now. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
