Embassy Review:
My appointment was at 0930, so I arrived at the Consular Services Gate at 0915, with my DS-160 Confirmation Page and Passport Ready – the DS-160 page was then signed off. The lady at the front told me to walk through the doors and ignore the queue, which I did. At the front desk a man took my signed off DS-160 page and added 3x stickers and a EZ Queue ticket (like Argos), then told me, FIRST FLOOR, turn LEFT, (walk to END) then LEFT again and sit down.
So I did.
I waited, 30 mins past my appointment time because the 2x booths in service were occupied by 2x individuals who were getting a longer talk/process than anticipated, but at 10:00 I was called up.
When called, I handed over: Visa Photo (US) – scanned and returned, DS160 Page, W2 Tax Form, 1040 Tax Return, Police Report, Birth Certificate, Letter from Employer, Passport and the I-134. They took my finger prints and that was it. Approximately 5 mins of my time. They handed back my X-Rays on CD. Asked when I planned to go over.
I waited 50 mins (the two chaps in front were getting asked many many questions).
At 10:55 I was called up – the lady took my left hand fingerprints and then asked a few questions: Where did you meet, When did you last see her, Did Passport Control ask anything (no), What wedding plans are there? That was it. The lady said I approve your visa and you’ll have your passport back in 5 working days (or thereabouts).
Cradle to Grave – 0915 – 1100. (waiting time was 1.5 hours of that)
Note: There is FREE Wi-Fi while you wait. Put phones in pocket for all desk related tasks. Remember Visa Photos, MUST be WITHOUT glasses.

Timeline Comments: 2I think we're looking at the 16th of December now. It has slipped a little but only a few days. How are you going?
21st I think - I am in CA though. Slipped maybe 3 days. :)
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
