Comments : Been waiting for a date to open to pay the $265. One was available today 12/18. Sent the money to my fiance and she paid. After a couple hours it reflected on the account that the payment went through. Now we wait for the actual interview date.

Finally got an appointment date.

2/25/20
I happened to travel to kenya just to give her moral support and they allowed me to go with her into the embassy. Thought they were going to tell me i cant be with her. First part, ladywas super nice and chill. She was kenyan. Made the first part easy. They asked for ds 160, 134 with tax returns, Birth Certificate for fiance. We have 2 kids so the asked for CRBA certificates. Asked for a passport size photo. Took fingerprints and tolds us thats all for now.

We went outside to the seats outside to wait. After about an hour they called us back in for the second part. There was a white guy waiting. He allowed me as the fiance to stand next to her. He asked to take oath and took fingerprints again. Asked her just a few questions. What do i do for work? How long i have i done it for? What i did before that? And why we didnt get married before? Because we had stated when we got the CRBA that we would get married? That was it.

He then stated that he has approved it. We got our pictures back that we had send with i129 application to uscis. Gave back the crbas certs and birth certificate. We were then on our merry way.

The visa finally arrived on 10nth. We flying out on the 12th.

No you don't need insurance. They don't even ask for it.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
