Consulate Review: Dublin, Ireland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 17, 2019
Embassy Review : Interview appointment was at 8am. I arrived outside the embassy at around 7.45 and there was already a queue. They let people in two at a time, checked our passports and went through a security scanner. They locked my phone into a little locker and I was able to take my small handbag in with me along with my documents. I queued inside and gave my name to the Irish staff member behind the window. She told me to sit and wait for my name to be called. We were all called in order of how we arrived in. I was called again by the same staff member, asked to produce my passport, birth cert, police certificate, photographs, medical results and my fiancé’s financial I-134. After this I was asked to sit to be called for interview. The interviewer was so friendly and approachable, he asked to tell him about my fiancé, and when did we decide to get married. He approved me then and there. Overall it was an extremely positive experience, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was a lot easier than I had thought!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
