Comments : After we landed I went to the passport control which was almost empty. I gave the form my passport and the K1 package as well as a copy of my vaccination record to the guy but he didn’t want the xrays cd.
he opened the package and then asked me to confirm my address. He flipped through the package and found a picture of me and my fiancé and pointed at him and said is this (name and surname of fiancé) I said yes he said nice and commented on the lake in the picture haha. Then he asked how much money in cash I have on me. Then he stamped my passport and said we’re almost done I just have to go to the office for the final check.
He took me to the office and handed my papers and passport to the lady there. He told her “I already stamped her through so take her temperature and we’re good” which sounded to me like I was already done. Once he left the lady called me up she looked at me and my passport and then said “you have 90 days to get married” is said yeah we’re excited! And she said okay good luck bye and gave me my passport without taking my temperature or anything.
someone else with a visa From the same flight I was in was there next to me and he asked if he needs to have anything in mind in terms of quarantine or anything because of the form we had to complete and the guy laughed and told him “no man you’re all good we’re in phase two now!”
Overall this lasted about 10 minutes and everyone was very nice.

Event Description

Embassy Review : they don’t allow you to bring a backpack in the embassy and I was not aware so I had to go find some place to leave it. I left it to the doorman of an apartment building near the embassy.
I had to wait around 30 minutes before I got called to give my passport. They gave me back my original birth certificate and asked me which countries I’ve lived in for more than 6 months and checked they had the police certificates from all of them.
After that I had to go back and wait to be called by another person for the interview.
We started by taking my fingerprints and then she asked me what is my fiancé’s name, where we met and how long we lived together. Asked if he’d like to come back to Europe too since we lived together here before and then she saw I am from Athens so started commenting on how much she likes it. After that she said I’m approved officially and my passport will be ready in about 2 weeks. She was very nice!
Good experience overall apart from the fact that the guards and the people checking you at the entrance had that annoying attitude like i kicked their dog or something 😋
Rating : Good

I don’t know why you felt the need to write that on my profile but I wish you get your visa.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
