Comments : I was super nervous before the interview, but I really shouldn’t have been. Our case manager was professional, but nice! The atmosphere was friendly! He asked about my immigration timeline and our relationship timeline. We brought copies of letters, flight tickets but all he wanted was some new photos, our lease agreement and proof of joint account, so keep that in mind when prepping. Also, if you have them, bring your EAD cards. He asked to take a look at them. We brought originals/copies of passports, visas, birth certificate and marriage certificate but since he already had those on file he did not need them. Haha, I was overall too anxious. We waited for about 20 min after our actually appointment time, the interview took ca 40 min. Overall, it was a pretty painless event!

Embassy Review : I had my marriage based- AOS interview on November 6. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I was super nervous beforehand, but our case manager was so friendly and professional. We only waited an extra 10-15 minutes and the interview took about 40 ish minutes. Throughout the interview we made some small talk and joked around a little bit so it was definitely a more casual environment then I had expected. The case manager said he had to look over the case before a complete approval, but that we were basically approved. A week later he updated the case status to “approved”!
Harassment Level : Very Good

Hi how long between ready to schedule interview and your interview was it for you in Portland?
MariannaF on 2020-01-20 said:
I received a “interview to be schedule” notice 6.30 and then a “interview has been scheduled” 9.30 and then I had my interview 11.6. So it took three months for the interview to be scheduled, and circa a month between when I found I had an interview and my interview date

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
