Hi,
Did you call them??how you know its reached?

Good question. I don’t know for sure. The last email On 31st march said they sent it to Mumbai; but how do we typically know if Mumbai consulate received it?
VS&BD on 2020-05-08 said:
I believe that if on CEAC it shows ready, the consulate has gotten it. That's what I am going off of. Mine was updated to ready beginning of April.
Vabsmith on 2020-05-08 said:
Okay now that sounds familiar. Siggy please don’t confuse me! jk

@vabsmith
We all know that at CEAC has updated as READY at the beginning of April..but you updated now that consulate received. CEAC says ready bcoz they send it electronically and embassy receives it electronically but embasy has to receive our files physically at respective embassies. That's why I asked you Mr.Smith that did you confirm them whether they received our physical copies?. I am sorry if my question confused you..🙂
VS&BD on 2020-05-08 said:
Now I'm confused does Ready mean that its at the consulate. The exact text is
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://nvc.state.gov/interview
For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.
I think the physical letters have been impacted due to all the mailing offices of the consulate and the consulate itself being closed...

Thanks for making it clear
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
