Hello,
How do you pay visa payment?
I went to abysnia bank and they said i need download paper.
any adivice about it? would be helpful
thanks
Maddycheese on 2021-08-05 said:
For the longest time I couldn't pay because I couldn't schedule an interview. Finally I got the option to pay, so I downloaded the piece of paper and my fiance brought it with him to the bank to pay. After the payment went through I was able to schedule an interview. Pretty much you can only pay when you can register for an interview, so if there's no interview, you can't pay either.

Also I never received notification that I could now pay, I just logged in one day and it was an option.

Hello again,
is is on certificat marriage requirement for embassy?
any tips about it, thanks
Maddycheese on 2021-08-09 said:
Hi, we filed for the K-1 visa so we're not married and I don't know anything about marriage certificates at the embassy. There are other couples on here that have been through it that can be more helpful than me and I've found other people going through the Ethiopian embassy to be friendly and helpful.

Thanks for responding agin!
And some of our visa journey helped me and said that "Yes,yoh have to have a non-marital certificate and you have to have it stamped at vital events(wesagn kunet)......actually that is for both your birth certificate and your non-marital certificate."
In case if u didn thave it.
Maddycheese on 2021-08-10 said:
Thanks for letting me know, that's very interesting that the embassy wants a non-marital certificate since they don't mention it on their website. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/ADD-Addis-Ababa.html How scary, I wonder what else we need to bring that they don't mention.
Alex Molla on 2021-08-11 said:
Anytime.
yeas i didnt know befores that. And they dont mention that but it is good to have you know.
Alex Molla on 2021-08-11 said:
SO now, my fiance is trying to get certifcate that.
Alex Molla on 2021-08-11 said:
There is lot of things they need beside they mention.
Maddycheese on 2021-08-11 said:
Looking at the response you got, it looks like you only need a non-marriage certificate if you're planning on getting married in Ethiopia. I'm planning on getting married in the US so it's not needed for me.
Alex Molla on 2021-08-12 said:
So do i, i'm planning to marry in usa too ( its k 1 visa), but they need this one and one of visa journey reponsp to me that we need.. Therefore I will quote what they to me. "Yes,you have to have a non-marital certificate and you have to have it stamped at vital events(wesagn kunet)......actually that is for both your birth certificate and your non-marital certificate." and the following said to ask where did we get it?.. "I got mine from my woreda. You ask them for 'yalageba maregagecha' and I don't see why they would not have it. They should. It is a certificate with a photo that proves someone is not married."

Hey,how you doing?
Did you they ask about non-marital certificate?
Maddycheese on 2021-09-20 said:
No, they did not ask for a non-marital certificate. They just looked at the birth certificate, took the medical packet, and took the police report. They did not look at the financial support documents (the tax documents etc), just commented that he had a lot. They looked through the photos and whatsapp conversations we had attached to our I-129f application and asked my fiance about who was in the pictures. Hope this helps!
Alex Molla on 2021-09-20 said:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
