Event Description

Embassy Review : My husband (and I) had our interview yesterday and I felt it went really well! If you can help it, try to arrive early because there is airport style security. I was hearing heels and had to take off my shoes, belts had to come off etc., etc., ... it did move along quickly and efficiently.

Parking. There is either street parking or a parking lot there. We managed to find free street parking nearby. Again, the earlier you get there, the luckier you might be.

Obviously, bring ID there and your notice because they will check it at the door. Then you’ll check in with someone at a desk who’s on an ipad, you’ll check your temperature and then she’ll direct you on your way.

It looked like most interviews were being help on the second floor. There are steps and it looked like there were elevators as well. When we got to the second floor there was a big waiting room (and restrooms!). We waited about 10 minutes before being called back.

Our interview took about 15 minutes if that. Our IO was very nice, very pleasant. She asked us how we met, if we had an engagement, big or small wedding. Again, she asked for ID. Asked us our names, current address and DOB. Then she asked for any paperwork to submit. I have her a huge stack of supporting evidence and she didn’t mind as all! Then she went through some security questions with my husband. For example, asked if he was affiliated with gangs, ever arrested questions like that. And that was pretty much it.

We don’t know if he got approved or not yet. She just said we’ll be getting a notice in the mail in a couple weeks.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
