My fiance is from Brazil And I am seeing a lot of interview dates many months out, yours is the 1st one I have seen that is roughly a month from the consulate Received date. Can you tell me if that was by choice or you just took the closest date available? Also, was the interview easy? Were you at the interview as a couple? Any information you can give me would be appreciate it. Thank you

Hey! I scheduled and paid my interview on July 15th, by that time there was only one single slot available for August 20th at 07:40 which was the one I ended up choosing bcs it was the closest, they had several days available after that day, August 22nd, 27th and 29th. I don't actually know how full they are right now with interviews so that might be the reason why the dates are so far ahead. The interview was pretty smooth itself, basic questions, when you have a bonafide relationship you have nothing to worry about, the paperwork is really important though. I got there at 07:15 and only ended up leaving at 10:30, there was a lot of people there, like 15 or more people to be interviewed, most of them were K1 visas as well. We were not at the interview as a couple, she couldn't make it because of her job, if you need additional information send me a message through the forum and I'll be happy to help.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
