Comments : The process was frustrating as NVC wouldn't acknowledge receipt in a timely matter and they missed handled a minor item. It probably costed us a couple of weeks. Fortunately once the case was sent to the embassy, things greatly improved as they handled things expeditiously.
We had no prior marriages or children so that made the process rather simple. Overall, the process took about 8 months.

Embassy Review : Interview went great. The scheduled time was 10 AM. We were told not to arrived before 30 minutes prior. However, the taxi got us there at 9:20 and they let my wife in right away. Of course, I, as the petitioner, had to remain outside on the street. She had to wait a good while inside. But once she got to talk with the Embassy rep it was a nice interaction in both in English and Thai. The man asked her the general questions, how we met, did I have a house in the USA, where was it, etc.
My wife is an ex-auditor and she had prepared about 5 kilos of indexed paperwork for both the required documents and background. She says the Embassy man was very impressed!
The wait and the interview all took about 1:45 minutes from start to finish.
Rating : Very Good

Hi guys! Congratulations on receiving your visa! I know it was awhile ago. Do you remember what date you received your NOA2?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
