This seems like forever when all you want is to be able to spend your life with the person you love most!

Why is Nebraska taking so long to process cases? If anyone knows could you please post!

Patricia, I really don't know. I think it's based on your priority date. I'm with Potomac service center and my friend is at Ellis; it's e-filing. She has a IOE number.
I'm just praying hard. I have to have spinal surgery soon. I need my husband here to help me.

Rosemichelle I am so sorry about your impending surgery. I know how you feel. My hisband and I are missing each other so much. I have gone to Nigeria 3 times in less than a year. It's very expensive to go there and then turn around and pay all the fees here. I just wish things could move faster because I need him here with me. All we want is to be happy!

Amen and I agree with you on the issue. Yes, it is expensive traveling back and forth. I've been twice this year. I can't travel now. Hopefully, I can get a quick response with NVC, on expediting when we get to that stage. Good luck 👠to you both. I miss my husband so much. My husband is not doing well with not being able to take care of me right now. I'm a strong woman, I just want to have my surgery.I just keep striving and trusting my higher power.

I wish you all the best with your surgery. I am older than my husband and he too is not doing well with not being able to take care of me. I'm looking at knee surgery down the road. We just miss each other so badly. I was hoping to go back in Dec. for his birthday which is the 26th. I pray it all works out. We also give everything to God and pray ci stantly that we won't be separated much linger. Good luck to you and everyone else going through this TORTUROUS process.

Every time I check here our petition keeps moving to a later date. It's so disappointing!

You keep your faith. I know it's hard. Today is my anniversary, but I was unable to travel. I wanted to be with him so bad today.
You need to go on I think country specific and follow some people that are using the processing center that you are using. Good luck, I think Nebraska is really behind..

Thank you. I just checked again and our date has moved up again to April 22- June 19. I'm so depressed. My husband spent hours at the hospital today . He has been having severe abdominal pains and had to have an ultrasound. It tears me up that we can't be together when one of us goes through stuff like this. I am trying to keep the faith. I just miss him and want to be with him.

This is the reply I got from uscis regarding filing the 1-129 online. Someone told me to file this online even though I have a case pending . They said it might speed up the I-130 process. I'm so confused!

My I-130 go approved one month after submitting the I-129F application. Not sure if it helped, you can view my timeline.

All you that have been lucky enough to have your petition approved at the Nebraska service center, God bless you. They have had my I-130 for almost 6 months now, and my I-129f for 30 days and still nothing. We pray constantly just to be together. It is a struggle being seperated to say the least, and taking care of two households is financially taking its toll. Please pray for us all that are still waiting to hear something.

I understand your frustration we filed a month before you and we are still waiting no updates nothing. I am also having surgery next week and my husband cannot be here. But I hope and pray that even with the new initiatives that have been put in place against people from Nigeria that all will go well and I’m hoping for the best all the odds are stacked against us but I still will press on and I hope that you and your husband will have the strength to press on as well.
Patricia Owuh on 2020-01-25 said:
2PsNAPod I see on your timeline that you filed in June. My attorney filed our 130 in May. Our PD is May 30, 2019. I then filed the I-129f with a PD of October 14, 2019. Have heard nothing on either except NOA1 on both petitions. They say our estimated adjudication is May 7-15-2020. This wait is so frustrating and financially draining. I went there 3 times within a year, the last being July 2019 for 22 days. Trying to keep up two households, plus trying to go back and forth is a lot. We are at the Nebraska service center and the wait time is between 12.5 - 16 months. We are at over 8 months already. The I-129f has not helped us so the wait continues. I wish you the very best of luck. Are you the petitioner or beneficiary? Male or female? My husband lives in Ikeja. If your husband is the beneficiary and he lives in Lagos he should contact my husband. You can send me a private message.

Patricia,
Hello my friend. I am sorry for what you are going through. You still have not heard anything about your I-129f. I'm going to take you and your husband's paperwork to the throne of God.
I will continue to pray for you two.
Patricia Owuh on 2020-01-27 said:
Thank you so much. We both spend a lot of time in prayer. This struggle is real, and it is hard but we lay it at God's feet and know that everything will be okay one day. Thank you for your prayers.

CONGRATS!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
