Embassy Review : |
My fiance arrived at the embassy at 6:45am, his appointment was 8:30am. There were several check points where my fiance was asked to provide information/documentation. The CO called him at around 12:30pm and asked the following questions:
Who is petitioning for you?
How did you meet her?
When did you meet for the first time?
When did you start dating?
How many times has she been to visit you and how long did she stay during each visit?
Where does she live?
When did you propose? When did you propose? The CO asked this question several times because the first answer my fiance gave was the date he proposed with a ring, which was after the petition was filed. He proposed without a ring before the petition was filed. ***If you had multiple proposals make sure you give the date of the initial proposal.***
Why do you want to US to get married?
The CO did not ask my fiance for any proof of existing relationship. My fiance said the CO was very nice and down to earth. There was an oversight on the medical report that needs to be rectified before they issue an approval so our case is currently in "administrative processing".
Best wishes to those still waiting for their interview. |

Timeline Comments: 12Hi, can you please tell me which birth certificate your fiance got? My fiance was approved at the interview but they didnt accept the anestation of birth. He was born in 1990.
Hi @Tish_Ghana, sorry for the delay, did you get the information you're looking for. I am curious to know as well. My fiance hasn't had his interview yet but he has his birth certificate.
which birth certificate does he have? at the interview they did not accept the anestation of birth. they only accept the white NPC birth certificate.
Ebose on 2020-01-08 said: How was your interview?
@Ebose the interview went well. There was a section that was skipped on the medical report so he has to go back to the clinic so they can complete that section. Once that is done the CO said the visa will be approved.
Ebose on 2020-01-31 said: Yipeeeeee congratulations
Thank you @Ebose! Hope all is going well with your case!
Thank you @Cyndy&Onyi. I am glad to see you're making great progress on your timeline!!! Congrats on your spouse getting EAD.

Thank you and we appreciate your help.
Thanks again
Hi @Ma87 I received my interview notice yesterday. We waited almost 6 months between getting EAD combo card and receiving the interview notice.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
