Very good experience thankfully. Everyone from security to our interviewing officer were quite friendly. I think we got started right around our appointment time (phone had to be off in the waiting room and no clock so I can't be certain). The interview itself was fairly stress-free, I want to say it took about an hour. He asked us for "our story" and just let us talk to him about. Asked for any additional documents, we told him what we had (which was everything we could possibly think of) and he took the lease, bank statements, utility bills, insurance information. Theme seemed to just be important stuff with both our names on it and our current address. He looked at some of the photos from the original application, but didn't ask to see any of the new ones we brought. He asked us a couple times when we were married, but there wasn't really any grilling for facts. Then he went over the whole I485 application, asked my wife to verify her answers to the application, and we were good to go! He told us we were approved, our case status changed to "New Card Being Produced" around 5 pm that day, and by the next day it said "Case has been approved." |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
