Had our appointment on 8-22-07. The guard at the door, put us in the wrong line, luckily I'm a paranoid person and asked another guard if we were in the right place. We were called up pretty quickly and submitted our evidence of relationship (about 25 pictures & a big stack of my calling cards). We sat back down and then the "consul" called us, about an hour later and asked my fiance the following: why are we waiting to get married in the U.S. and why not Honduras? He said all my family and his sisters live in the U.S. When we met? When did we discuss about getting married? How many times I came to Honduras to visit him? and that was it. Then he said everything looked good, but he had to do an FBI check on his name, because several names came back like his and they needed to make sure he was not one of them in the U.S. He said they would contact us in 1 week. Good luck to the rest of you that will go through this proces. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
