Applied for but didn't receive the combo card (EAD/AP). No AP was given and we never heard updates on this. |

Previously received biometrics were accepted; no need for a new appointment to take new biometrics.
NOA 1 contained a letter automatically extending the expired green card for 2 years while the case is being decided. The expired card must be shown with NOA 1 to count as legally resident.
Update: Received green card almost exactly 2 years after submitting application for removal of conditions. |

Due to COVID-19 restrictions everything in the interview was done digitally even though we still went to the USCIS office for the appointment. The only people we saw physically were the security guards at the door. My husband checked in for the appointment at a kiosk where he talked with someone through video chat. He was told to take me (USC spouse) and go to a room down the hallway. We walked into an office with a desk, chairs, and ipad set up. We had a video conference with the officer where she asked us questions from our K1 visa application and some details from our AOS application. Due to COVID-19 protocols we were told to place our supporting documents in an envelope and then in a box in the back of the room, and were told they would not be viewed for 72 hours. Because of this we didn't receive any indication about the AOS decision on the day of the interview, and had to wait almost a month before suddenly finding the Green Card in our mailbox.
Doing everything digitally was kind of strange, but honestly we were just relieved to finally have our interview after waiting months with no updates. If digital is what it takes to get the interviews and AOS process rolling again, then we're all for it! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
