Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : February 23, 2020 Embassy Review : We had a very positive experience in our interview on January 28th. The Rio de Janeiro Embassy is very organized and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We arrived at the embassy around 6:30 am as our appointment was scheduled to 7 am. A very friendly lady came outside the embassy where we were staying in line to check if we had an appointment. After checking it with everyone in the line she asked everybody to follow her. We went to a room and the same lady gave me two papers with instructions of what they need from me and my fiance, the other paper was personal information. We organized the documents, filled the information they wanted and the lady helped us to double-check the documents to see if everything was ok. She asked us to sit down again and wait until they call my name. They called my name and we went to the last window, where they check some information on the DS-160. After that, we were asked to wait again for the final interview. We were called and the interview was very smooth. We never felt like they were there to make it difficult, they were very friendly and helpful. The actual interview took less than 5 minutes. We spent probably less than an hour inside the embassy. My fiance was with me. Rating : Very Good
