I came for work on Sept 2018 and met my current husband during that trip. A month later we got married and I stayed with him. We filed for AOS on May 2019 and got approved during the interview on Jan 2020. We had the nicest officer that explained that there was no problem with my overstay because I was married to a US Citizen and that I should not worry about having responded Yes to "violating the terms of my non-immigrant visa". I am just leaving this note in case anyone out there is scared and needs to hear this. If you are legitimately married for love, and have nothing in your background, you should be fine. Our office was San Fernando Valley.
