I found people’s reviews on their experiences at the embassy useful so I guess it’s only right for me to share my experience so hopefully, others can benefit from it.
Appointment was at 9:30am, arrived at 9:10am. Told the guard house that I was there for K visa interview. Guard collected my handphone, smart watch and headphones and was given a token to collect my belongings later. Bag went through an x-Ray machine and I had to walk through one as well.
Another metal detector/X-ray machine thing that I had to walk through again once I entered the building.
Entered the visa interview room and it was packed. There was a queue but was told to sit and wait for my name to be called from Counter 8. Waited for about 40mins before my name was called. Submitted my passport, original birth cert, police COC, form I-134, fiancé’s tax returns and 2x passport photos. Was asked, when I did the medical check up and told that the medical reports have not been sent to the embassy yet (even though I did the check up about 3 weeks ago- more on that later). Was given a piece of paper that I need to submit along with whatever documents that was missing (which I didn’t need in the end because I didn’t had any missing documents) and given the IMBRA pamphlet to read.
Waited for about 20mins more for 2nd interview. Was called to Counter 7. It was so packed and the room was getting quite noisy and I found it hard to hear what the interviewer was saying! ☹ï¸
But anyway, he asked me these questions:
-How did we meet?
-When did we meet?
-Where did we meet?
-Did the relationship continue after we first met?
-How did we communicate when we’re apart?
-What does he work as?
-Have I done the medical check-up and when?
-Am I travelling anywhere the next few days?
He gave me back my birth cert and a letter that informs me that the visa is denied because of missing doc- the medical report (so angry at this point!!!) and he kept my passport (which I guess is a good sign). He told me that I didn’t had to do anything, they just have to wait for the medical report.
Whole process took almost 2hrs. Despite the long wait, the interview itself was very quick and easy. The wait felt extra long just because I’m not used to waiting and doing nothing (as handphone was taken away). Should have brought a book to read.
Left the embassy and immediately called Fullerton Health and demanded them to send the medical reports by today because it’s almost been a month since my check-up. Also went down to the clinic (since it’s only a few bus stops away from the embassy) to check on the status of the medical reports. Keeping my fingers crossed that they submit them right away.
Lesson learnt: Call Fullerton Health to check whether they have submitted the medical reports to the embassy at least a week before interview.

a week. but email them to ask for the status of your case.
Oh okay.. did you use SingPost normal mail?
No I paid like $15 for the registered post but I feel that normal mail is sufficient.
