Embassy Review : |
INTERVIEW WAS SCHEDULE FOR JULY 18TH AT 8: AM, WE ARRIVED AT 6:50 AM, IT WAS VERY COLD AND IT WAS RAINING. WHEN WE ARRIVED THERE WERE ABOUT 3 GIRLS TAKING IN YOUR INFO AND HELPING PEOPLE ARRANGE THEIR PAPERWORK, AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED TO THE FRONT GATE THEY ASKED FOR OUR NAMES, AND TO OUR SURPRISE WE WERE NOT IN THE LIST... THAT WAS TRAUMATIZING... I WANTED TO CRY AND TO FAINT. MY FIANCE WAS VERY CALM BUT HE LOOKED DISAPPOINTED. WHEN THEY TOLD US THAT HIS NAME WAS NOT IN THE INTERVIEW LIST FOR THAT DAY, THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT LET US GO THROUGH, BUT THE FUNNIEST THING WAS THAT, THE DAY BEFORE HE HAD HIS FINGER PRINT DONE AT THE CENTRO DE ATENCION AL USUARIO, AND YOU CAN ONLY DO FINGER PRINTS IS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN INTERVIEW SCHEDULED, WHICH WE DID. SO WHEN HE DID HIS FINGER PRINTS THEY ISSUED AND STICKER THAT WAS PLACED IN THE BACK OF HIS PASSPORT, SPECIFYING THE DATE OF THE INTERVIEW AND THE TIME. SO WE HAD NO IDEA WHY HE WAS NOT PLACED IN THAT LIST. THEY TOLD US THAT WE NEEDED TO WAIT FOR INFO FROM THE EMBASSY AND RESCHEDULE THE INTERVIEW, BUT I WAS NOT TO HAPPY WITH THAT INFORMATION, SO I DEMANDED TO SPEAK TO SOME ONE INSIDE AND BE GIVEN AN ACCURATE ANSWER... A SUPERVISOR CAME OUTSIDE AND TOLD US THAT THE CONSUL DID NOT RECEIVE OUR PAPER WORK FROM THE EMBASSY AND MY FIANCE WAS NOT GOING TO BE INTERVIEWED. I DID NOT ACCEPT THAT INFO, AND DEMANDED TO BE HELPED AND FIND A SOLUTION, I FLEW FROM US TO BE PRESENT DURING THE INTERVIEW AND AS AN US CITIZEN I HAVE RIGHTS AND THAT IT WAS UNFAIR THAT WE WERE NOT INFORMED AT A TIMELY MANNER. AFTER A FEW HOURS OF US STANDING OUTSIDE, FREEZING AND WET, ONE OF THE GIRLS THAT WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL CAME TO US AND TOLD US NOT TO WORRY THAT SHE SPOKE TO THE OFFICER AND THAT SHE WOULD SEE US, BUT SHE NEEDED TO FIND OUR RECORDS. WEL, AFTER 5.5 HOURS WE WERE INFORMED THAT MY FIANCE WAS GOING TO BE INTERVIEWED AND THAT WE WERE ALLOWED TO COME IN... WE WENT IN, WET THROUGH THE PRE INTERVIEW PROCESS,A ND WAITED TO BE CALLED... AFTER 45 MINS WE WERE CALLED TO THE WINDOW, AND TO OUR SURPRISE, MY FIANCE WAS INTERVIEWED BY THE NICEST LADY EVER. SHE WAS VERY SWEET, FRIENDLY AND AT ALL TIME SMILING. SHE ASKED HIM ABOUT 5 QUESTIONS, MY NAME, WHERE I LIVE, HOW WE MET, ABOUT WEDDING PLANS AND HOW WE GOT ENGAGED. AFTER THAT SHE HANDED HIM A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PAMPHLET AND KEPT HIS PASSPORT, SHE TOLD HIM THAT AT THE MOMENT SHE COULD NOT GIVE HIM A DECISION BECAUSE SHE HAD TO GO OVER HIS FILE, SO WE LEFT THE EMBASSY IN LIMBO LAND.... WAITING FOR AN ANSWER.... RIGHT NOW IT SAYS ADMIN PROCESSING. |

Timeline Comments: 10What do you mean RFE reply?
When did you receive the packet 3? My timeline is almost the same as yours but we still have not gotten the packet. I am thinking to call the embassy, I hope it did not go to the wrong address or something.
Packet 3 is received by email, its just instructions you must follow for the interview!
YAY, you got approved! It's about time! Happy for you both, hope you are together soon and your wedding is beautiful.
congratulations! Did they send the packet 3 to the petitioner or beneficiary? and how soon were you able to schedule and interview?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
