Embassy Review : |
Interviewed on 18th of February 2020 and had problems from the beginning at window 37 during the initial document screening. Medical paperwork was lost and Embassy claimed it was not submitted, finally they acknowledge they had it but could not find it. Two and a half hours latter we were called back to window and they asked for NBI. While standing they found NBI and returned personal copy to Fiancee. Finally told all paperwork was accounted for and to go on to fingerprinting and interview. NOTE: Never saw Medical paperwork, all paperwork was just loosely rammed into a manila folder. Fingerprinting went well and the interview with the Consulate was quick with only two questions. The Consulate said we were approved and I asked if it would be possible to get the Visa by the 27th of February. He said he would try his best. On the 27th notified by 2GO at Mall of Asia Visa had been shipped to wrong address by Embassy. Finally located package only to discover that the Visa was issued on the 26th then placed on hold the 27th. Embassy requested additional NBI documentation of all known AKA and previous names. Complied with request and then tried on numerous occasions to contact Embassy. No luck, never notified if they received documentation. Complete and total breakdown with communication. One time call center sent us to Consulate Office in India. No cooperation from American Embassy and now we have the Corona virus to contend with. Could not be more disappointed in my Department of State. This should not have happened. |

Timeline Comments: 4 PWB on 2020-09-19 said: Visa issued on February 26, 2020 then withheld February 27 for AKA NBI. Documents requested submitted 27 February and the Visa has been in admin. processing since. 2nd medical taken in August and for 2nd time required to comply with sputum/culture protocol. Three test to verify negative for TB. Terrible..........
PWB on 2020-11-02 said: PWB on 2020-11-02 said: Etylene is at SLEC for the results of 2nd physical. Mailing passport, new NBI (4th one) updated CENOMAR and physical back to USEM. They are running out of excuses to issue visa. 8 months of administrative processing for a document that they had since day one,
PWB on 2020-11-20 said: After 2nd physical was forwarded to USEM on November 2, 2020. They returned her passport on November 9, 2020 and told her she needed a new physical. Clearly another processing mistake by USEM. I sent three emails, she called them and sent emails and they responded with a telephone call to her and told her to resubmit her passport. Two times USEM claims no medical, lost NBI, repeated sputum testing the list goes on and on. Now on November 20, 2020 they update status to Administrative Processing. What have they been doing for the last 10 months?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
