Is petitioner US citizen or permanent resident, did you sent I 129f along side your PETTION?

The petitioner is a US citizen. We only filed the i-130; originally considered getting the k1 visa but decided it's better to get married in Indonesia and file for IR-1/CR-1. Research seemed to indicate it wasn't worth filling for K-3 also, and the i-130 processing actually went about six months faster than expected.

Congrats! How did the interview in Jakarta go? Visa status?

The interview went well - after getting the initial document check at window#2 we waited about ten minutes or so before being called to window 9. My wife answered a few initial questions about various documents (have you been married before, do you have the divorce decree, has your husband been married before, do you have his divorce decrees, do you have kids, who do they live with, etc) , then the interviewer asked me to sit while he asked her about the domestic abuse and FGM/C handouts (which she had read while we were waiting). Then they called me back up and we both answered a few questions about how we met (online), when was our first meeting in person (here we showed pictures from our first meeting and a couple of other trips, plus our wedding). He looked them over, said "you guys are cute!", asked a few more questions and then handed back her documents except for her passport and said "Congratulations, you're approved!"
We got married over a year ago and had double and triple checked all our documents, translations, had no red flags like previous visa overstays, criminal activity, etc, and had no issues with financial support (I easily make enough for the requirements), so I felt that all they really wanted to do was see if we had a genuine relationship. We both feel the pictures did the trick in our case. I've been to Indonesia 9 times and we also had trips to Singapore and Vietnam, with lots of pictures, so it's easy to see that we're not a fake relationship. I'm so glad I spent the extra time printing out those pictures before the interview.

He said to expect her passport and Visa to be delivered in about a week, but the handout sheet says 2-4 business days and she lives just outside Jakarta so we're hopeful she'll have it in hand by this weekend, and she can fly home with me on Sunday.

Congrats! So it's okay if we (the Americans) attend the interview in Jakarta? Did you have to get special permission? When I went for the fiance visa interview in 2017, they weren't going to let me in, but I'd already emailed prior, got permission, and had printed out the email.

I emailed the embassy to ask if I would be able to attend but I didn't get a formal response, only the automatic reply which referenced the web site for various categories of questions but didn't answer it. I went anyway, and the guard at the embassy just looked at my wife's appointment letter, seemed satisfied when my wife said I was her husband, checked both of our passports and put us on the list, then we were both let into the embassy. The interviewer didn't seem at all surprised that I was there.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
