Comments : My fiance entered the US at Washington Dulles airport. They lost his one and only suitcase so when he got to the customs/immigration, he was a bit irritated because the lines were ridiculously long. He told the first officer that they lost his luggage and I was waiting for him a long time so to please hurry (hahaha) and he said okay and they asked him how much money he had with him and that was all! I couldn't believe it! It still took almost 3 hours for him to get from the plane to me but that was because there were so many arrivals at the same time. He said everyone was super nice to him. We were worried because the packet from the embassy arrived with a big tear but they didn't say anything about that.

Embassy Review : My fiancé had his interview at 8:45. He was finished by 9:45 with an approval! He said it was very easy. They did ask a lot of questions but I think that was because of him living in Gaza, wanting to make sure he was not involved in anything negative there. Nothing out of the ordinary was asked but I think they delved more into his background than they would have from another country but, that was kind of expected.

Hello! I was wondering if they scheduled the date/time of your interview for you and told you to show up, or if you select your own date/time once they tell you that you can? Thanks! Sam

Can I also ask which medical facility/doctor you used and how much it cost?

Hi! I am sorry I didn't reply sooner, we have just been so busy since the interview! We selected our date/time from the available appointments once they sent the email that we could schedule. The first time I logged in, it said nothing was available, and then I tried again at like midnight US eastern time/7am Turkish time, and there was an appointment available. The doctor wash Dr. Ungan via wwwdoctorun.com. My fiancé needed two immunizations so the total cost was around $400 I think.

Hello! Can I ask you when did you take your appointment? And got the letter from embassy? I mean how long does it take from your case came to Embassy (from May 20th). I am asking because some guys took appointment on September but I didnt see anything. So I am trying to understand how it works. Thanks

Hello, We got the email to make our embassy appointment and the first time we tried there was no appointment available. But the we tried at like 7 am local time (for Turkey) and there was an appointment for July 2 (about 5-6 weeks from the date we scheduled it. You should try at different times of the day.

Congrats on your marriage! However belated it is! So I am just wondering if you have an idea when they deliver the passport back to you through PTT, do they call, SMS, or give a tracking number to know when to pick up the passport? I know I havent had the interview yet. Just curious about how will I know the passport reached the PTT office I picked. Thank you. Good luck with your future endeavors too!
JessicaG on 2019-09-20 said:
They send an email so you can track it. My fiancé and I were impatient so he went to the PTT and asked them to find his package lol. We wanted to get him on the next flight!

Thanks! Every step is another hurdle crossed off so we are very excited! The residency card will be such a relief!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
