Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 14, 2020
Embassy Review : interview was supposed to be at 11am , they let me in at 10am , waiting in line for about 1 hour, then at a first window a First Lady asked for : DS160 confirmation, police certificate, 2 photo ID, and appointment confirmation with address to send back the passport
And she gave me back the approved i129f with the pictures. She told me to go sit and that they would call my name for the interview

After just 5 or 10 minutes I was called by a lady , she asked me where did we meet , when did we decide to get married, when do we plan to get married. Asked to show some of my favorite pictures. She then just looked quickly over w2 and letter of employment and gave them back to me. She types some stuff on her computer and told me we were approved and would receive the passport back with an envelop within a week.

My status on CEAC is now "issued"and expect to receive it probably in a day or 2.

She didn't ask for : letter of intent to marry or extension (we were passed the expiration date) , no affidavit of support , no proof of ongoing relationship , chatlog or anything

Very smooth overall, just the long one hour standing in line was a bit annoying .
Rating : Good

Hi, did you receive your visa 7 days after the interview? When did they actually ship it? I am trying to figure out if we need to change the flight or not. It's been 'issued' since friday and I was hoping it would be shipped today (Monday) but it's still at the embassy even though it's ready to be sent.

you'll probably get an email today saying it's been shipped , if it's issued then I am pretty it shouldn't take more than couple days to be sent. The embassy doesn't work on weekend .

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
