my documents left yesterday, and I went ahead and already got the interview booked. also I recently read somewhere that it could come in a form of an email or maybe not even that. What I have normally researched that is included in packet 3, which is letter stating what to bring, was included on the second page of confirmation of interview appointment page I received after booking.
Heres what I found online
Packet 3 Contains: There is NO Packet 3 for this consulate for k1 visa, you have to contact them via above given email or phone to get the instructions. They will mail a letter or email the beneficiary the instructions as to what be done next.

Finally decided to just get married in India after all the frustrations with K1. Filed I-130 on 5/11 it was delivered to the Phoenix, AZ lock box on 5/12. Check was cashed on 5/25. Hopefully this process will be better than the k1.
