Hello I don't understand this forum very well but I just see ir1/vr1 and Mexico and Nebraska and year 2016 on your profile. May I ask what you filed for and if you have been approved for i601 and i212 waivers? Thx.

Hi there, IR1 is the category for an Immigrant Visa for a spouse of a US citizen. We started our process in November 2016. We filed for i601A waiver and were approved and we are currently waiting for an appointment in Juarez. We did not file for I212 waiver. Where are you in the process?

Oh dear! We are at the end of the year wait on i601 and i212 because husband was deported to Mexico, he's not here with me. An i601a is when your spouse is here in u.s. waiting with you, right? So anytime now but I think I'm wanting info for i601 instead of i601a. But congratulations! What a relief it must be for you both! You don't know how much a blessing it is to be born in the USA until a spouse is needing a petition to stay! I appreciate your help and response.

But one more question please, you're the first person I've inquired with: So is an IR1 an I601a and what does it mean on your profile " marriage: (if applicable) mean? Is that when you guys got married? Thx

I’m sorry, it must be so hard to be separated from your loved one and having to wait. I hope the best for you both! Yes, my husband is here with me and we’re waiting together. Also, yes that marriage date is when we got married. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Oh ok. Yes we're married 18 years this coming October! Well congratulations, newlyweds! Marriage ain't no joke I'll tell you that. I appreciate your help and may you both live and love in harmony for many years to come!😁

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
