Comments : This is the happiest day of my life and family. After years of waiting, I am privileged to share our interview experience with the visa journey community. My husband had interview today at 8 am. After the routine checks and submission of documents such as birth certificates for hubby and kids, marriage certificate, police certificate etc, my husband meet with a very jovial consular officer who asked him the following questions:
Who is calling you in the United States?
For how long has she been in the United States?
How did you meet your wife?
Did you get married a week before she left for the United States?
What does she do for a living?
When did you propose to her?
Did you pay the dowry?
Did the two families come together during your traditional and court weddings?
Where was your spouse born?
What did your wife tell you about the state where she is living?
Is she living there alone or with someone?
Why did she choose to live in minnesota?
When was the last time your wife visited?
Do you have any family member in the United States?
What do you do for a living?
Why were the kids birth certificates made on the same day and years after birth?
Does your wife have other kids apart from these two?
Then came the word we had waited for, for years " I am going to approve your visa for you to join your family. Congratulations and welcome to the United States of America". My husband was told to come and collect the visas in two days. From the time my husband entered the embassy and got out, it took just 40 minutes. I am just so overwhelmed with joy and happiness. I want to thank the visa community for the contributions, the shared experiences, the answered questions. These helped us to prepare for this interview. My Father in Heaven You are too much Sir. Thanks You for giving us the strength to sustain ourselves during the times of loneliness, for giving us the courage to forge ahead and for favoring my family before men. All glory to you alone. I wish everyone waiting successes during their interviews as well. Just be your self and tell your life story to the interviewers because they care to listen to you. Thanks and good luck.

Embassy Review : It was an awesome experience for hubby and kids. Lots of questions asked in a jovial manner, to my hubby it was just like an interesting discussion with no anxiety. Took 40 minutes into and out of the embassy in Yaounde. Thank God we made it. We can now be one family once again.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
