Hi there! May I ask you about your case? Is your case have anything update from USCIS like “Your case is ready to be scheduled an interview” or anything? Because mine not update anything from 11/28/2018. Thanks

I dont know you know about SAVE program or not, but if you want to get driver license in Ohio, you should bring your I485 receipt, passport, SSN and proof your Ohio Address to BMV Deputy Registrar to ask for State ID, then you can get permit, driver license for use car while your applications are pending. Just let you know

I already have driving license since I’m on J1, but they will expire together with my j1 in July, what visa are on?
blank avatar Thuan Cloud on 2019-04-06 said:
Same you, J1 visa, now you can get another driver license, follow my instruction, go to BMV office, ask for the State ID, then you can renew your license.
blank avatar DM87 on 2019-04-06 said:
For how long did they give you driving licenses?
blank avatar Thuan Cloud on 2019-04-06 said:
The processing time for State ID about 10 days, then you can ask to renew ur license. For me, I just applied last Thursday, then I will get permit and learn to drive.

I see, I hope with our timelines will get EADs soon, but if not, thanks for information

Well, I looked at almost the cases in Cleveland, it always took around 6 to 7 months to get Green card, so I hope we will get information about the interview soon. Please update here if you have any information, I will too. Have a good night
blank avatar DM87 on 2019-04-07 said:
Will do, you do same! Good night!

I got email from USCIS updated my case yesterday evening to “ Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” just let you know.
blank avatar DM87 on 2019-04-11 said:
That’s amazing! Congratulations! Given that it’s Cleveland office you should get interview shortly.! Keep me posted, mine is still the same, but at least I have hope:)
blank avatar DM87 on 2019-04-11 said:
Question - since we both j1, did you have to get a waiver for j1 or you didn’t have 2 year rule with your j1?
blank avatar Thuan Cloud on 2019-04-11 said:
I have no 2 year rule with my J1 visa. I think yours will come soon, we are in same months, yours later than mine a weeks only.
blank avatar Thuan Cloud on 2019-04-11 said:
Thanks God! My status changed again “Interview was scheduled”, now I will wait to receive mail for specific date
blank avatar DM87 on 2019-04-11 said:
That's exciting, congrats again. I think that it changes to ready to schedule as soon as i485 goes to Cleveland office, and CLE office schedules it right away! LEt me know when you have it scheduled!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
