POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2019-10-04
Embassy Review : I introduced myself and told I was coming with a fiancé visa, I gave my passport to the officer, and after he took finger prints and a picture he took the K1 sealed package, then I was sent to an office by the crew immigration line where I waited, I was there for around 15 minutes at most, no questions asked, then somebody said my name, and told me I was free to go while giving me a pass to hand in to the officer at the exit.
Harassment Level : Low

Local US CIS Office Review: New York City NY
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : January 3, 2021
Embassy Review : We arrived 10 minutes before to the office as it was indicated due to COVID protocols, we passed through security similar of TSA (shoes & coats off), and then were checked in - that's where you get asked several questions regarding COVID exposure along with fingerprints and picture- . Then we waited for a bit more than an hour to be called.

The person interviewing us was nice, she didn't ask for specific papers instead she asked us to give her anything we have that would support our case, so I went along the checklist and she would be saying yes if she wanted to see it or not, she asked for my medical but that had been sent with the application so I told her that and she found it in the folder.

Additionally we went through the application questions under oath, one by one, so she would confirm my previous answers. By the end she just asked for 4 pictures of us facing front to be attached, so we choose 1 from our wedding and some others from different travels we did this year.

We didn't receive an answer right away from her, instead we received a letter stating the decision was being delayed but that we have given all the information they would need, that left us wondering but by the time we arrived home the case status online had changed stating they were issuing a card, a day later it showed as approved and the card arrived home in less than a week.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
